The Lamakha Gemstone Locking Leather Journal is handcrafted from full-grain black leather - the strongest, most character-rich grade available. The entire cover has been hand-tooled with interlocking Celtic knotwork along every border and a deep pentagram star motif at its centre — pressed so firmly into the grain that the design grows sharper, not softer, as the journal ages.

At the heart of the cover sits a genuine lapis lazuli gemstone: an oval of deep mineral blue with the natural gold inclusions that only real stone carries. It rests in a hand-stitched leather collar, flanked by an ornate antique brass locking clasp that secures every word inside with satisfying, deliberate click. The key is yours. What is in here belongs to no one else.

The spine is finished with a traditional red waxed cord Coptic stitch — the exposed hand-stitching used in the finest hand-bound books for centuries. It is strong enough to outlast decades of daily use and beautiful enough to be a design statement in its own right.

Inside, white handmade paper pages, blank and generous. Acid-free. Fountain pen compatible. They open completely flat across both pages.
